Herman's true form [the Demonic Spirit within]

this is the true form of the demon spirit known as "Herman". He's pretty damn big and powerful but good-natured and protective of those he's put in charge of protecting. Though the tricky part is revealing his true form and that can be done one of three ways: 1) being summoned by powerful demonic energy, 2) if he's put in charge of protecting a mortal child then a drop of blood and a short incantation will bring him out [but only for a short time since if he's out too long it'll take a toll on the child's own physical and spiritual well-being] and 3) an ancient ritual can be performed to completely release him from his plush vessel [whether he wants to be released or not]. However, the ritual in #3 has been long since forgotten and it's very dangerous for if it goes wrong it can not only fail to break the bonds between the Ghoul and the Plush it's seal within but also kill the caster and anyone within the equivalent radius of a small village, trapping the souls of the unfortunate to the scene for 10000000000 years [or all eternity, whichever comes first. *le shrug*].

for the most part, Herman's quite fine with being a child's protector just as long as he doesn't get manhandled too much.
